Works, but keeps popping off,

I bought this for my wifes blackberry curve because her original button fell off and got lost. This ball does work, it lights up very bright but on my wifes blackberry it keeps popping off. And it's not as sensitive as the OEM ball she has said. It takes more effort to get it to the right icons when she scrolls. For the money it's not bad, but the OEM model is the way to go if you can find one and don't mind paying a premium.
Trackball ineffective and ring had a broken prong,

The trackball is useless, it doesn't fit well with my Blackberry 8310 Curve. When I try to scroll it doesn't move well. I have to put just the right amount of pressure on it while I scroll to move correctly. I wound up fixing the old trackball I needed to replace and using the chrome ring in the shipment with the broken prong to hold it in place. The ring still holds it in even though it's broken, that's why I gave it two stars rather than one. Overall this is a very cheaply made product.
