Battery life/performance,
by Stephen N. Maglio, 2010-07-02
Phone kept indicating a low battery. If I removed and replaced the battery I would get a full charge indicator. Once I used the phone again, I would again get the low battery indicator. As long as I kept removing the battery and replacing it, the charge would come up. Seems like a poor connection issue to me. Maybe doesn't fit in the battery compartment tight enough. Had to return it.

This battery WILL NOT work with the motoDroid. The firmware isn't ready for cells this large. Other users may have found workarounds, but you will not be happy with the results. Gave it a month and it's still inoperable. Take it from a verizon tech, just buy another standard 1300mhz and swap out when u need to. Waste of money.
I had good luck with them in the past in blackberry's such as the tour so I figured it was worth a shot. Learn from my mistakes people. Even with every batt monitoring app on the market, this battery and the motoDroid do NOT play well together.
Verizon store won't admit it,

Works great. Really extends the up time of the phone. Verizon store doesn't even acknowledge that it's available.
Initially a good battery, but became unchargable after 4 months,

Droid has a problem, it is a power hog. The OEM battery has trouble lasting a day, so I was excited to get the big battery from Seidio. Initially it worked well, giving almost 2.5 days power for pretty heavy use, but after a few months it sent droid into a loop of rebooting whenever it was plugged into the charger and now is worthless.
Even when it was working great there was still a problem with the battery meter. The big battery fools the metering software into giving very early readings of "no power left". Why I don't know, but the issue is well documented on the Droid forums.
So if this battery worked well and the power meter functioned it would be a great thing.
Last much longer,

I am pleased and satisfied with the extended Battery overall. I understood after researching this product that the Droid has a firmware compatibility issue with this product whereby your Droid will indicae your battery is low or about to die and it seems the indicator shows the phone is dying sooner that the original battery (this reading is completely false).. HOWEVER.. if you download an application called "battery Left" and you fully charge it 8 hours and let it completely die like 5 times in a row.. the application actually learns the life of the battery and gives you a pretty decent idea of whats really goin on with your battery life.. If you decide to purchase this battery you will have to get used to a red blinking light and an indicator telling you your about to die and to plug in yada yada.. but the benefit is that this battery really does last more than twice as long as the original! I dont know about most people but Im not always near a charger and dont like having to be concerned about pluggin my phone in all the time.. so thats another plus.. if you get it just get used to using "battery left" and enjoy a much longer lasting battery charge. One thing to mention also is that it makes the phone a bit thicker on the back but for me I actually kinda like it cuz it makes the phone ore comfortable to grip.. you just cant use the verison docking station or car navigation bracket thing (which i dont use) so for me considering all the pros and cons its a good fit and a good buy for those who hate puggin there phone in every 5 hours. Now i average about every 3 days..depending on usage. good luck.
