Neither worked for data/charging HTC Evo,

Bought two cables, neither works for either moving data or charging the battery. Beware, may not work for your needs. Correct cable, but wont charge and none of the four machines (2 PC laptops, powerbook or imac) will recognize the device to charge or move data around. Neither works with the evo ac plug adapter either.

I ordered three of these to use with my new Evo 4g. However, when I tried to plug the phone into my laptop to charge it, the "charging" light would light up for a second, and then go off. Windows also refused to recognize that the phone was plugged in. Tried using a different Evo -- save results. Tried using the charging cable that came with the Evo and had no issues charging and browsing the contents of the SD card from my laptop.
I'm sure the cable works fine for most other uses, but it does not work with the Evo 4g.

Have been using these for about 3 weeks now, and they are what they claim to be. Micro USB to USB for mobile phones. I have tested on both my Blackberry and my HTC Evo and it works fine. Its a little bulkier than the bundled cables.

I was expecting this to be cheap, but it is actually a pretty high quality cable. Works fine with my Samsung Galaxy S phone.
