Customer Reviews
Fantastic.,

I was skeptical after reading reviews of people buying a second one, I was wrong because I already ordered number 2. I'm using this on my Bold 9650. This thing is way better than I expected and better than the generic because most of them I've seen still require plugging into the charging port and are not drop-in like this one.
I guess the only thing I could see as a con is that it can't be used to sync and it is charge only. That doesn't bother me though.
Nothing Special,

This item is nice if you want your Blackberry standing upright while charging. When I saw this item I thought it would be a great charger to have for my desk. The ad didn't show a charging cord, however, so I called the 1-800 support number to ask. I was assured the item came with a charging cord. When I received the item it did not include the charging cord. This item is meant to be an accessory to your already-existing cord unless you purchase an additional cord. This item will not hold the Blackerry if you have an outer case for it. I ended up returning the item as I did not want to have to remove my outer case everytime I charged the phone.
Finally a resonably priced Blackberry cradle,

I bought three of these for my 9650 Bold - for the desk, nightstand and the office. All three work fine. I am happy Blackberry designed a simple, sleek and resonably priced charging cradle. It uses your esisting wall charger, which plugs into the back and it has contacts that connect to the blackberry so there's no cord to plug into the side. It's made of plastic but seems reasonably study and is just heavy enough so that it grips the desk and doesn't slide all over the desk if the cord is moved.
My only complaint is that it could hold the blackberry a little more firmly. If you touch the blackberry or try to use it while in the cradle, it will move on and off the contacts. Each time it makes contact again it goes into 'clock mode' so this makes it pretty impossible to use it while its in the cradle. You have to take it completely out of the cradle to use it. It would be nice to be able to read an email while leaving it in the cradle but its not a big deal for me.
Simple, elegant, cheap, and great!,

Note: This "Charging Pod" is not a "Dock". You cannot use this item to connect your phone to your computer, only to charge it.
This pod is an amazing accessory every BlackBerry Tour owner should have. (Any BlackBerry owner should have one for that matter, assuming one is available for their model.) Instead of fumbling around for a cable to plug your phone in at night, you can just set it in this pod and you're done. It uses the two charging contacts on the back of the phone to charge it without connecting any cables. (For anyone curious, the charging contacts are the two little metal pads on either side of the silver battery cover latch.)
What's really nice about having this pod is how you can set your Tour to go into "Bedside Mode" when you charge it. So, if you have this option enabled, you can simply put your phone in the pod at night and it'll go into "Bedside Mode" automatically. For me, this means my phone switches to the "Phone Calls Only" sound profile. Then, when you take it out of the pod in the morning, it'll switch back to whatever profile you use normally.
The pod also matches the Tour quite well and looks really nice with the phone sitting in it. For $8 I would recommend this product highly to any Tour owner, having already purchased one for myself and one for my father.
Wish I got one Sooner,

This charging pod is awesome. The battery lasts longer and charges faster. Only downside is that you have to take the case off before setting on the pod.
