Excellent charging pod.,

Fit and finish is excellent. Very small and works fine. Only one downside that it didn't come with the charging cable. Had to utilize original charging cable which came with the phone.

Had the dock for the original BOLD as well, but this one is much better. Docking is true and secure, I noticed on the 9000+dock that the alignment was very critical and sometimes you had to pivot the phone just right in the holder to get the connections to meet. Not here, this one is much better and seems to go in perfect every time, nice since I like to just toss it in and don't have time/patience for careful alignment. You have the option of using a micro USB connection or a BB power charger, but of course there is no USB connectivity with the dock, only power. I use it at work but am thinking of getting another for the bedside and make the most of "bedside mode"... Little light on the dock would work well for that...

The cradle works as expected.
As the design is very compact, I always take it with me.
Automatic "bedside mode" is a nice bonus I didn't expect to get. If you want, you can have the clock started as soon as you charge your Blackberry and the "bedside mode" allows you to configure several options, such an turning off the red LED for incoming messages. Removing the Blackberry from the charging cradle will then automatically exit both the bedside mode and the clock.
Bottom line you get a very nice, large-digit, easy to read clock which is very useful when traveling.

For the price you can't beat it, shipping was very fast. I bought two of these one on my desk, and one in a special caddy that I made when I designed my own center console for my blazer. Very nice way to display your blackberry smartphone. Have owned them for a few months now and am on my 2nd blackberry bold 9700 because my last one was stolen out of my truck on 6/28/10, two days after my birthday go figure.

I am very happy with this purchase! It charges my Blackberry as expected and the price was unbeatable. Saves wear and tear from connecting and disconnecting the cable into the port on the phone every day. My last Blackberry was a Curve that had the port break apart and fall out of the phone. I had no way to charge it or to sync it to my computer. This should extend the life of my new phone since the cord plugs into the pod and then the Blackberry simply sits in the pod.
