dropouts, sometimes completely quits working,
by A. Felson, 2010-03-26

There are occasional dropouts all the time, about once every 4-5 minutes.

Sometimes it'll completely quit working, usually when the stream stops and starts again such as when doing a track change. Usually turning BT off on the phone and turning it back on cures the problem. Sometimes it is necessary cycle the power.

Thought unit was defective and got a warranty replacement. It didn't need to be power cycled so often, but i still had dropouts and lockups as often.

Does not work with iPhone 3Gs,
by Ocean, 2009-09-09

1. This doesn't work with iPhone 3Gs. It will sync with Bluetooth, but does not appear in list of available devices. 2. There is no tech support either by phone or by the website. 3. You are out of luck if you fall into the 1,2 previous points. Had to return to Amazon. Make sure you keep all you packing materials if you order this thing.

This device does not work with iPhone 3.0 OS. Pairs with phone but not recognized as an audio device capable of receiving audio stream.

Very good way to stream from MP3 to car,
by J. Labri, 2008-12-06

The Anycom BAR-10 did exactly what it was suppose to. It was easy to setup and worked right out of the box. I was able to quickly mate my blackberry pearl to the BAR-10 and then stream music to the AUX input of my car. The sound is great, there is no distortion or interference. The only comments I would have would be ergonomic only:

1) The could have made the output of the BAR10 a single audio jack instead of the L/R RCA plugs to make it less bulky
2) Some sort of indicator lite to show that it is working. I had an issue a week after the install that I could not stream anymore and I could not tell where the problem was (i could not even tell if the BAR10 was on) since it was failing with my home stereo as well. Turns out that there was a problem with my Pearl and its BT service...once i pulled the battery of the Pearl and rebooted, it worked just fine.

I LOVE this device because it works very well,
by electriccafe2, 2008-09-13

After a few years of mediocre experience using various bluetooth products, I wasn't expecting much from more recent music-audio based devices. But I think that's changing, either because of this company (Anycom) or because of Bluetooth 2.0 EDR (Enhanced Data Rate)

I currenty have the above device (BAR-10), an Anycom FIPO (which plugs into iPod-based speaker systems) and a Sony BT adapter for an iPod. I also have a Samsung Q1 UMPC that is kind of my 'Super iPod'. All of these things support EDR (or are listed as having 20-20,000Hz frequency response) and work together quite nicely.

The BAR-10 is always in pairing mode, so there's never any link-up hassles. The best part is that the audio sounds very good.

I would recommend any Bluetooth 2.0 EDR product from Anycom and will be getting another BAR-10 soon.
